Governor's Acanthus-Leaf Scroll AppliquéFile #11765

Description: After a fire destroyed the oak interior of the Utah governor's mansion in Salt Lake City, Agrell Architectural Carving was hired to recreate the damaged ornamental woodwork. The carving, which was originally undertaken by German or Austrian craftspeople in the late 1800s, was of such high quality that the company decided to make exact copies for its archives. Now we're offering some of our favorite designs, like this scroll, to our customers. Scrolls can be employed in a variety of different applications, depending on how they are oriented. We've seen them added to pediments, placed alongside mouldings on wall panel treatments, and installed on staircase stringers as decorative brackets.
